- High school marching bands are popular in the Great Plains as they are throughout the United States. Each autumn, bands perform half-time shows at football games, march in parades, and participate in regional festivals.

- There is something refreshingly different about an aerial view of a home. You can live in or walk by the same residence day after day and not pay particular attention to its roof line or the placement of the structure on the property.

- Kansas City, Missouri
- Kansas City is located at the junction of the Kansas and Missouri rivers. It has long been considered the gateway to the Great Plains region. The metropolitan area encompasses many cities and counties in northwestern Missouri and northeastern Kansas.
